A Framework for Excellence
At Indian Public School, we believe that a structured and disciplined environment is the cornerstone of holistic development. These rules and regulations have been established to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth for every student. We seek the unwavering cooperation of both students and parents in upholding these standards.
Section 1: Academic Commitment & Attendance
Punctuality and Regularity: Students are expected to be present on all working days. Students must be in school before 8:50 AM. Latecomers will not be entertained, as punctuality is a core discipline.
Mandatory Participation: Attendance is compulsory for school assemblies, Physical Education classes, and all co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Exemption will be granted only on medical grounds with a doctor's certificate or through specific permission from the Principal.
Leave of Absence
Short-Term Sick Leave: For any sick leave extending beyond three consecutive days, a Medical Certificate from a registered practitioner must be produced upon return.
Long Leave: Long leave will be granted only under unavoidable circumstances. Absenting oneself a day prior to or on the day of a test/examination is strictly not permitted.
Prior Intimation: Leave for attending family functions, outstation events, etc., must be applied for and sanctioned in advance. Absenteeism on a working Saturday is strongly discouraged and will not be permitted without a valid reason.
All leave applications must be submitted through a letter.
Section 2: Conduct, Discipline & Appearance
Respect and Courtesy :: Students must show respect and courtesy at all times to the Principal, teachers, staff, peers, and all visitors to the school. They are expected to obey instructions from school authorities promptly and without question.
Moral and Ethical Standards: Students are expected to uphold the high moral and ethical standards of the school in their conduct, both within and outside the school premises. The school reserves the right to address behavioral issues that occur off-campus if they reflect upon the institution's reputation.
Dress Code: The prescribed school uniform must be worn neatly every day, accompanied by clean shoes and socks. Students not in proper and complete uniform will not be permitted to attend classes.
Language: To foster proficiency and confidence, English must be spoken within the school premises at all times, except during language-specific classes.
Movement in Campus: No student shall leave the school premises during school hours without explicit permission from the Principal. Students are not permitted to remain in campus after school hours unless under the direct supervision of a teacher for a scheduled activity.
