Rules & Regulations

A Framework for Excellence
At Indian Public School, we believe that a structured and disciplined environment is the cornerstone of holistic development. These rules and regulations have been established to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth for every student. We seek the unwavering cooperation of both students and parents in upholding these standards.

Section 1: Academic Commitment & Attendance
Punctuality and Regularity: Students are expected to be present on all working days. Students must be in school before 8:50 AM. Latecomers will not be entertained, as punctuality is a core discipline.
Mandatory Participation: Attendance is compulsory for school assemblies, Physical Education classes, and all co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Exemption will be granted only on medical grounds with a doctor's certificate or through specific permission from the Principal.

Leave of Absence
Short-Term Sick Leave: For any sick leave extending beyond three consecutive days, a Medical Certificate from a registered practitioner must be produced upon return.
Long Leave: Long leave will be granted only under unavoidable circumstances. Absenting oneself a day prior to or on the day of a test/examination is strictly not permitted.
Prior Intimation: Leave for attending family functions, outstation events, etc., must be applied for and sanctioned in advance. Absenteeism on a working Saturday is strongly discouraged and will not be permitted without a valid reason.
All leave applications must be submitted through a letter.

Section 2: Conduct, Discipline & Appearance
Respect and Courtesy :: Students must show respect and courtesy at all times to the Principal, teachers, staff, peers, and all visitors to the school. They are expected to obey instructions from school authorities promptly and without question.
Moral and Ethical Standards: Students are expected to uphold the high moral and ethical standards of the school in their conduct, both within and outside the school premises. The school reserves the right to address behavioral issues that occur off-campus if they reflect upon the institution's reputation.
Dress Code: The prescribed school uniform must be worn neatly every day, accompanied by clean shoes and socks. Students not in proper and complete uniform will not be permitted to attend classes.
Language: To foster proficiency and confidence, English must be spoken within the school premises at all times, except during language-specific classes.
Movement in Campus: No student shall leave the school premises during school hours without explicit permission from the Principal. Students are not permitted to remain in campus after school hours unless under the direct supervision of a teacher for a scheduled activity.

Section 3: Personal Responsibility & Property
Care of Belongings: Students are solely responsible for the safety and custody of their personal belongings, including books, stationery, bags, and other valuables. It is advised not to bring expensive items to school.
Care of School Property: Students must treat all school property with care. Vandalism, including writing on walls or furniture, damaging equipment, or littering, is strictly forbidden. Any willful damage will incur a penalty, and the cost of repairs will be charged to the parents. Students must report any observed damage to the school office immediately.
Prohibited Items: For safety and to maintain a focused academic environment, students are forbidden from bringing the following items to school:
o Mobile phones, pen drives, or any unauthorized electronic gadgets.
o Sharp instruments, dangerous objects, or valuables.
o Non-vegetarian food, junk food, or carbonated beverages.
o Any form of objectionable literature, comics, or periodicals.
o Exception: Gadgets or tools specifically required for a subject may be brought only with the prior permission of the respective teacher.


Section 4: Parental Partnership & Communication
Collaborative Support: : Parents/Guardians are expected to ensure their child devotes sufficient time at home for studies and completion of assignments. We seek your partnership in reinforcing the values and discipline imparted at school.
Communication Protocol:
o All correspondence must mention the student's name, class, and section.
o The mobile numbers provided to the school must be active and attended solely by the parents/guardians.
o Parents must check the school website and the student's school diary regularly for circulars, announcements, and updates.


School Visits:
o Parents/Guardians who escort their children must drop them off and pick them up at the school gate only.
o Parents are not permitted to enter classrooms or wander the premises during school hours without a prior appointment.
o Meetings with teachers can be scheduled through the school office and will be held only after school hours.


Transport:
In the interest of student safety, parents are strongly advised to discourage their children from driving two-wheelers to school.


Section 5: General Policies
Academic Integrity: The school promotes a culture of self-learning. No private tuition by the school teachers shall be arranged or encouraged. We believe in the sufficiency of classroom teaching and the school's remedial support systems.
Updates: Parents must promptly notify the Class Teacher of any change in residential address, telephone numbers, or emergency contact details.


Note: The school management reserves the right to modify these rules from time to time. Any serious or repeated breach of conduct may lead to disciplinary action, including the possibility of dismissal. We thank you for your wholehearted cooperation in our shared mission to nurture responsible, disciplined, and successful global citizens.

Rules & Regulations

No student shall stay back in the school premises after the school hours except when it is advised by the Principal or teachers.

Parents/Guardians should mention the class and section of their child/ward in all their correspondence.

Parents please ensure that the mobile numbers provided by you are solely and exclusively attended by you.

Do ensure that your ward bring the school diary daily along with the respective books and materials as per the time table.

Kindly discourage your children from driving to school on two wheelers. This is in the interest of your child safety.

Parents must take the prior permission after informing the office, to meet the class / subject teachers.

The meeting can be scheduled only after the school hours. Parents are requested to check the school website for regular updates on circular/announced etc. We seek the whole hearted co-operation of all the parents for the complete well-being of your children and request your special monitoring irrespective of school / teacher instructions.

Students are strictly forbidden to bring pen drive, cell phone any sharp instruments, valuables etc, to the class and to purchase any article of food from unauthorized dealers at or near the school premises.

Bringing any sort of comics or objectionable literature into the school may lead to even dismissal from the school. However if required the students may bring the gadgets related to their subject with the permission of their respective teachers.

No private tuition by the school teachers shall be arranged. Attendance & Leave The school does not encourage leave taking in general.

If the student needs any sick leave for more than 3 days, he/she must produce a Medical Certificate.

Regularity-Students are expected to be in school before 8.30 am Late coming will not be entertained.

Long leave will be granted under unavoidable circumstances. Absenting oneself a day prior to a test or exam will not be allowed. Absentees on a working Saturday will not be allowed.

Leave for attending functions, outstation events etc. should be intimated prior to the leave taking

Dress Code Students must come to school in proper uniform and clean shoes with grey socks every day.
